President Ruto in Nakuru for Officer Cadet Commissioning and State Concert
President William Ruto is in Nakuru County today, where he is presiding over the Commissioning Parade of Officer Cadets at the Kenya Military Academy, Lanet.
The event marks a significant milestone for the newly trained cadets as they officially join the ranks of the Kenya Defence Forces, having successfully completed their military training.
In his address, President Ruto underscored the collective responsibility of national security, stating:
“No amount of force can secure a nation on its own. True security is our shared responsibility, and every Kenyan is a stakeholder.
We must, therefore, espouse the enduring mettle of our Kenya Defence Forces — unity of purpose, discipline in action and unwavering commitment to duty — for a more secure and prosperous Kenya.”
Later in the day, at State House Nakuru, President Ruto will join other distinguished guests for a State Concert featuring performances by winners of the just-concluded Kenya National Drama and Film Festival. The event celebrates artistic excellence and showcases the vibrant talent of Kenyan youth in the performing arts
