DIG Eliud Lagat and other top police officials monitor traffic along the busy Nairobi-Naivasha-Mai Mahiu Highway.
Deputy Inspector General of the Kenya Police Service, Mr. Eliud Lagat, led a team of senior officials in monitoring traffic movement along the busy Nairobi-Naivasha-Mai Mahiu Highway.
Accompanying him were the KPS Director of Logistics, Mr. Peter Ndung’u, and NPS Spokesperson, Dr. Resila Onyango.
The exercise aimed to assess the flow of vehicles and ensure the enforcement of traffic regulations during the festive season.
The highway, a crucial route for both cargo and passenger transport, often experiences increased congestion and accidents during peak travel periods.
The team emphasized the importance of compliance with traffic laws to enhance safety and reduce delays. “We are here to ensure smooth movement and address any emerging challenges on this critical highway,” said Mr. Lagat.
This inspection reflects the ongoing efforts by the Kenya Police Service to prioritize road safety and maintain order during the holiday rush.
