KABOGO URGES MT. KENYA RESIDENTS TO ALLOW GOVERNMENT TIME TO DELIVER
Newly appointed Cabinet Secretary for ICT and the Digital Economy William Kabogo has besieged people from the Mountain region to tone down hostility towards President William Ruto, while acknowledging there is a disconnect between the government and locals.
Speaking at his Ruiru home in Kiambu County during a Sunday service at the PCEA Murera Church, Kabogo expressed his displeasure at growing hostility towards the President where locals have severally refused to listen to his speeches.
He pleaded with the region to embrace President Ruto and his government for the sake of development, noting that the bad blood may lead to delays in implementation of projects.
Likening the government to a milk cow and the people as the farmer, the CS said wisdom is required to ensure they reap maximum benefits.
He at the same time, took a swipe at former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua saying he was impeached for personal issues and not for the people of the region.
Regarding the new-found political relationship between Gachagua and Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, Kabogo brushed it off as inconsequential.
Kabogo who served as Kiambu’s first Governor told off critics who were questioning his decision to join the Kenya Kwanza government.
He also said that for the time being his focus is on serving as CS for ICT and the Digital Economy and told Kiambu politicians not to panic.
