President Ruto Receives IEBC Nominee Report from Selection Panel
President William Ruto on Nairobi – May 6, 2025 at State House, received the report on the recruitment of nominees for the positions of Chairperson and Members of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) from the IEBC Selection Panel at State House, Nairobi.
The President commended the Selection Panel, chaired by Dr. Nelson Makanda, for its “diligent and commendable work” in overseeing this critical process.
“Under the provisions of the IEBC Act, I will nominate and transmit the names to the National Assembly in full fidelity to the constitutional principles that guide our system of governance,” President Ruto affirmed.
The submission of the report marks a significant step toward reconstituting the electoral commission ahead of future electoral milestones.
