Deputy President Kithure Kindiki Leads Infrastructure and Agriculture Drive in Kirinyaga, Embu Counties
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki impromptu inspected ongoing construction works at the Kibingoti Economic Stimulus Project in Ndia Constituency, Kirinyaga County, on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
The Deputy President also officially commissioned newly constructed access roads to Kiine Girls High School, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative under the Kenol-Marua Dual Carriageway project.
During the visit, DP Kindiki emphasised the Government’s commitment to prioritising the construction of fresh produce markets and access roads, stating that these infrastructure developments are critical to driving economic transformation from the grassroots level upwards.
“The Government remains focused on building the foundations necessary to uplift livelihoods, stimulate local economies, and create opportunities across the country,” said the Deputy President.
He was accompanied by Ndia MP George Kariuki, local MCAS, and hundreds of residents who gathered to witness the inspection and commissioning.
Later in the day, the Deputy President engaged with more than 5,000 coffee farmers at Kavutiri Primary School grounds in Runyenjes, Embu County.
In his address to the farmers, DP Kindiki reaffirmed the Government’s dedication to revitalising the coffee sector, ensuring better returns for farmers, and promoting agricultural reforms aimed at improving productivity and income.
The events marked a continuation of the Deputy President’s grassroots engagements focused on economic empowerment, agriculture and infrastructure development across the country.
