Govt Pledges More Support for Mama Mboga, Boda Boda Riders – Kindiki
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has reiterated the Kenya Kwanza Administration’s commitment to creating a dignified environment for small-scale traders, including Mama Mboga and Boda Boda riders, to thrive and contribute to the country’s economic growth from the grassroots.
Speaking during a women and youth economic empowerment engagement in Kiambaa Constituency, Kiambu County on SUNDAY, APRIL 13, 2025, Kindiki highlighted the government’s ongoing construction of 400 modern markets across the country.
These markets will be equipped with essential amenities such as expanded trading spaces, cold storage facilities, lactation rooms, ICT hubs, and social halls.
“In Kiambu County alone, 25 modern markets are at various stages of completion, demonstrating our dedication to uplifting small-scale traders and fostering local economic development,” said the Deputy President.
Fulfilling Kenya Kwanza’s Pledges
Kindiki emphasized that under the leadership of President William Samoei Ruto, the government remains steadfast in fulfilling its pre-election commitments. Key achievements include:
• Revival of stalled road projects to enhance infrastructure.
• Creation of employment opportunities for millions of youth.
• Boosting agricultural productivity through administrative, policy, and regulatory reforms.
“President Ruto’s administration is focused on ensuring that every Kenyan benefits from a prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable economy,” he added.
